Arotin and Serghei are an artistic duo based in Berlin and work for various museums and exhibition spaces in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Switzerland.
Arotin grew up between Vienna and Paris. At a very young age, he learned to play the piano and to sing. As a polymath, he studied music, cinema, architecture, philosophy, and art before embarking on his own projects, starting with kinetic installations.
Serghei grew up between St. Petersburg and Moscow and trained in ballet, music, and theatre at a very young age. His studies ranged from the history of languages to philosophy, from art history to archaeology. He first worked as an exhibition curator and cultural programmer, before starting his duo with Arotin.
