Aurélien Dumont

Aurélien Dumont was a resident of the Villa Medici in 2017-2018. He holds a Doctorate in musical composition from the SACRe programme at the ENS de Paris and the Paris Conservatory and studied at IRCAM.

His works have been performed worldwide by renowned performers and he is the recipient of several prestigious awards. His two albums, While and Stillness, have been acclaimed by the critics. In April 2020, his concerto for piano and orchestra Écoumène was performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées by François-Frédéric Guy and the Paris Chamber Orchestra.

Following his residency at the Théâtre de Cornouaille, then with the 2E2M ensemble, Aurélien Dumont is associate composer at the Maison Maria Casarès for the 2019-2021 seasons.
