Born in Buenos Aires, Ayelen Parolin has lived and worked in Brussels since 2000. After studying at the National Conservatory and the San Martin Theatre in Buenos Aires, she followed the e.x.e.r.c.e training course in Montpellier. Engaged in her own choreographic research since 2004, she created 25.06.76 (2004), an autobiographical solo, Heretics (2014), a trio of extreme rhythmic intensity, and Nativos (2016). In 2019 she presents three new works, Wherever The Music Takes You II, WEG and Primal, a group piece developed with the Norwegian National Contemporary Dance Company. Ayelen Parolin was awarded the Pépinières Européennes, the mapXXL artistic residency programme, in 2005 and the Pina Bausch Foundation grant in 2016.
