Originally from the Philippines and now living in Austria, Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis studied composition with J. Baes, K. Ince, O. Schneller, J. Heintz, and B. Furrer before starting a PhD in art at the University of Graz in 2018. In 2016, she was awarded a Lower Saxony composition scholarship and the opportunity for a residency at the Martin-Kausche workshop (Germany). She won the International Composition Competition New Scene IV of the German Opera in Berlin. Artist in residence in Styria (Graz), she was supported by the Association des amis de Royaumont for her participation in the Académie Voix Nouvelles in 2020, which commissioned her to write a work for the ensembles Meitar and Linea. Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis was composer-in-residence of the Federal Chancellery and the KulturKontakt of Austria in 2018.
