On the border of experimental music, digital art, and video art, Pierce Warnecke's work is influenced by the observation of the effect of time on matter: modification, deterioration and disappearance. He likes to imagine a non-existent problem, an unreal hypothesis or a fictitious science as a basis for his research, which takes shape in a process of collecting, filtering and modifying existing phenomena (objects, data, recordings). This recovered material is then readapted to a parallel context where symbols, signified meanings and cultural connections become residual ghosts. The red threads of his installations: a non-explicit narrative and the use of raw materials dialogue with a technology reduced to the status of a tool.
