Rachel Beja is an Israeli composer living in Milan. She studied with Gabriele Manca at the Milan Conservatory, where she obtained a first prize in 2018. She followed various master classes, including with Pierluigi Billone. In 2018 and 2019, she was commissioned by the Milan Festival for two pieces for the theatre. In 2019, the Milan Conservatory commissioned a concerto for saxophone and the Divertimento Ensemble commissioned three pieces: for voice, for cello and 11 musicians.
Her music is performed in America, Europe and the Middle East, by ensembles such as Ensemble Modern, Divertimento Ensemble, Ensemble Multilatérale, Tana Quartet, Mise-en Ensemble, and Mdi Ensemble.
